October 15 update
Changes introduced today:
- Fear increase from exposure to z-density has been reduced by 30%
- Chat should now work again
- Characters will now only use melee weapons if they do not have a firearm or are out of ammo
- Attack count should now show the correct number of updates (was showing 1 for some users even when there were no updates)
- New players are now vulnerable to PvP attacks after 1 week (or at level 5, whichever comes first) - this means that inactive squads on the map can be attacked
- Level requirement for creating an apartment-class safehouse removed - players can now create a safehouse at any level
- Tutorial rearranged to remove the NECRA safehouse step and replace it with create safehouse for first recovery
We’ve added charts under the map for every step to help you understand what’s happening to your survivors when they’re moving through z-density. Hover your cursor over the bars to see detailed numbers.
The average z-density your characters are exposed to is shown on a gauge
Combat versus zeds shows your character’s potential kills and actual kills. You can use this to determine when a character is not performing at optimal zed-killing efficiency.
Injury chance is shown (several factors - fear, fatigue, even squad composition) will affect this. If the random roll is less than the injury chance then an injury may have occurred.
The injury avoidance chart shows if any character was potentially exposed to damage. If the character has any relevant armor or skills, they have a saving throw which can avert the injury.
The bite chance chart shows only when there’s a chance of a bite. Fear, fatigue, hunger, thirst, z-density and other factors will affect the probability. If the random roll is less than the bite chance, the character may have been bitten.
Bite avoidance is a last chance to avoid a bite. Skills and armor kick in here. If the random roll is greater than the bite avoidance, then a bite has occurred.
